Cardiff City will reportedly attempt to sign West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Bluebirds will face competition for his signature from Premier League rivals Burnley.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form for the Baggies this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists as Darren Moore’s side sit 4th in the Championship table.
He primarily operates on the right side of midfield but has also been known to play at wing-back, and that versatility is something Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock is keen to add to his squad.
Phillips, who has represented Scotland on 13 occasions, is contracted to the Midlands outfit until the summer of 2020, having joined from Queens Park Rangers in 2016.
Josh Murphy and Junior Hoilett have regularly occupied the wide positions for the Bluebirds this term with the likes of Callum Patterson, Bobby Reid and Kadeem Harris also able to fill in when needed.
