Cardiff City are one of several Premier League clubs to have shown a loan interest in Marseille winger Clinton N’Jie.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who write that the Bluebirds will face competition for his signature from Burnley, Fulham and Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old seems to have fallen out off favour with Marseille boss Rudi Garcia, having started just four matches for the club in all competitions this season.
N’Jie initially joined the club on loan from Spurs in the 2016-7 season, making 22 appearances and scoring four times in Ligue 1.
The Cameroon international moved to France permanently after that season and produced a slightly better goals return last term, scoring eight times in 25 matches
N’Jie operates predominantly on the left or right of midfield but has also been known to play as a striker in the past.
The Bluebirds are yet to make a signing since the opening of the January transfer window last week, with Neil Warnock openly admitting his frustration in missing out on Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne.
The England international decided to link up with Eddie Howe at AFC Bournemouth instead, and now Warnock must look elsewhere for recruits with the South Wales outfit currently 17th in the Premier League table.
It is believed any temporary move for the player would be with a view to making it permanent in the summer.
