Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has asked his players to ‘look in the mirror’ after back-to-back comprehensive defeats.
TalkSPORT write that the Cardiff go into tomorrow afternoon’s match with Wolverhampton Wanderers firmly in a battle to avoid relegation.
With Huddersfield Town and Fulham looking more and more likely to be cut adrift at the bottom of the table, there looks to be as many as six teams battling it out to avoid finishing 18th come May.
The Bluebirds currently occupy that position with 25 points from their 28 matches, two less than 17th-placed Southampton.
Warnock’s men suffered a limp 3-0 defeat to Everton last time out, which was preceded by a 5-1 home defeat to Watford.
They’ll be looking to avoid a similar result tomorrow when they travel to the Midlands to take on Wolves, who are enjoying a fantastic season and find themselves 7th in the table.
The 70-year-old was keen to gee up his players ahead of the crucial run-in, saying:
I had a chat with them all and put my point of view forward about the remainder of the season. After that, they had a meeting of their own and I was quite pleased about that. When you do make mistakes you don’t tend to look in the mirror, you tend to look around. All I’ve asked is for them to look in the mirror.
