With four matches of the 2018/19 Premier League season to play, it remains nip and tuck as to whether Cardiff City will retain their top-flight status.
The Bluebirds sit 18th in the table with 31 points from their 34 matches to date, two points behind 17th-placed Brighton and Hove Albion.
They will be buoyed by their 2-0 victory over Brighton on Tuesday night, in which Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Sean Morrison scored the goals to secure the three points.
It now seems to be a two-way fight between Neil Warnock and Chris Hughton’s teams to avoid finishing in the last relegation spot, with Huddersfield Town and Fulham having their fate confirmed several weeks ago.
The Bluebirds host title-challenging Liverpool at the Cardiff City Stadium this Sunday before travelling to Fulham the weekend after.
Crystal Palace then travel to South Wales before the season ends with an away trip to Manchester United.
With so much on the line, we have decided to predict Cardiff’s remaining fixtures as they hope to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Prediciting Cardiff's remaining four fixtures
It’s hard to see the Bluebirds picking up a result against Liverpool, who are in a two-way battle for the title with Manchester City.
Cardiff must hope that their Champions League victory over Porto last night has taken alot out of the Reds.
Prediction: Cardiff 0-3 Liverpool
This match could prove vital to Cardiff’s hopes of retaining their Premier League status.
They must exploit the fact that Fulham have nothing to play for, apart from pride, and play attacking football in order to pick up the three points.
Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Cardiff
Crystal Palace (H)
This is a match that could go either way. Palace are currently 13th in the table, with seemingly little to play for.
However, their attacking threat cannot be ignored and we are plumping for a score draw.
Prediction: Cardiff 1-1 Crystal Palace
Manchester United (A)
This last day of the season encounter is likely to have much riding on it, with Cardiff unlikely to have secured survival.
Unfortunately, we don’t think they’ll get a result at Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils keen to finish the season as strongly as possible.
Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Cardiff
